Gly-Free Nevill

You probably know by now that every street on the Nevill has voted overwhelmingly to take over pavement weeding so that Highways will no longer spray our estate with glyphosate. This well known poison is still used by the County Council to kill weeds on the public highway.
The next ‘mass’ street weeding is on Bank Holiday Monday, 27th June, from 10am to midday, when there will be refreshments and a get together on Nevill Green. Please join in, even if it’s only the pavement outside your house. The basic standard (most of us are more ambitious) is to remove plants from the pavement so that wheelchairs or pushchairs can navigate it without getting caught up on plants growing through the surface.
